The department  of computer science in the College of Arts and Science-Sharourah  was established  during the first semester of the academic year of 1430/1431. It offers a bachelor  degree in computer science for two sections (male and female.)

It aims to be a distinguishing department at national, regional and international  levels, by providing the students a depth experience focusing on theory  and practice of computer science and information technology. It also aims to keep the students in touch with updated scientific researches  in computer science in order to a chive the needed development  that goes with international principles  and levels  of computer science .
